Cancellation policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

This policy applies specifically to recurring Slow Light Club — Join the Club memberships.

It does not apply to One Month Only, which is a single, non-recurring purchase.

Joining the Club

The first membership payment is charged when you join.

That payment corresponds to the current Slow Light Club issue and current membership cycle.

Shipping is included in the membership price for supported destinations.

Monthly renewals

After the initial payment, recurring membership payments are scheduled for the 18th of each month.

The subscription uses a billing cutoff designed to prevent an initial membership payment and a recurring renewal being charged too close together.

An initial membership payment will not be followed by another recurring membership charge within the same calendar month.

Automatic renewal

Join the Club renews automatically until it is paused or cancelled.

The payment method associated with the membership will be charged automatically according to the membership schedule.

Failed payments

If a recurring payment fails, additional automatic payment attempts may be made.

The current recovery schedule allows up to three total payment attempts, normally one day apart.

If payment remains unsuccessful after those attempts, the membership is paused rather than automatically cancelled.

No new paid membership cycle or issue entitlement is created until the required payment is successfully completed.

Cancelling the membership

You may cancel your recurring membership after the initial order through your customer account or Slow Light Club membership portal.

Cancelling stops future renewals.

It does not automatically cancel or refund a membership cycle or physical issue that has already been successfully charged.

Where cancellation occurs during an already-paid membership period, active membership benefits may remain available until the end of that paid cycle before the membership becomes inactive.

This does not affect any mandatory statutory right that may apply.

Pausing

You may temporarily pause your membership through the customer portal where this functionality is available.

While paused:

  • no new recurring membership payment is scheduled;

  • no new paid issue entitlement is created; and

  • active-member benefits may end after the current paid membership cycle.

You may later resume the membership.

Updating payment and delivery details

You can use the customer portal to update supported information, including:

  • payment method; and

  • delivery address.

Please ensure that these details are kept current before the next renewal.

Fixed membership schedule

Slow Light Club uses a fixed monthly schedule.

Customers cannot freely change the billing frequency, change the renewal day or skip individual monthly issues where those controls have been disabled in the membership portal.

Member benefits

Only an active paid Join the Club membership provides active-member benefits.

These may include:

  • 10% off eligible Open Edition prints;

  • early access to selected new collections;

  • access to member-only content and archive material; and

  • milestone rewards based on valid paid membership cycles.

Limited Edition prints never receive the Slow Light Club percentage discount.

One Month Only

Choosing One Month Only does not create a subscription.

There are:

  • no automatic future charges;

  • no recurring membership contract; and

  • no ongoing active-member benefits.

Mandatory consumer rights

Membership cancellation and statutory consumer withdrawal rights are separate concepts.

Nothing in this policy limits any right that cannot legally be excluded.
